The Sting

1 Corinthians 15:52
 (NKJV)

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

55 “O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our bodies will ultimately be changed to be incorruptible which means that they can't die again or decay.

No wrinkles.

No bad / weak anything.

Energy unlimited.

Right now our bodies are not the source of life, but inside we are alive if we have surrendered to Jesus.

If it is the flesh, it is dying.

If it is of the Spirit, it is life giving.

There is freedom in Christ from the cravings of our bodies.

2 Corinthians 3:17  (NKJV)

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

There is peace in Christ from our fears.

Colossians 3:15 (AMPC)

15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state]...

We find freedom from our failures and fears by staying in contact with God's Holy Spirit within us.

Galatians 5:16 (AMP)

16 But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance]...

Isaiah 26:3  (ESV)

You (God) keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.
