Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
If we don't believe in God and what He says, it displeases Him, and makes it impossible to obtain His favor.
James 1:22 (ESV)
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
If our faith doesn't work, what then? We must apply faith principles.
Luke 18:8 (ESV)
Jesus speaking: When the Son of Man (Jesus) comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Frustration is not of faith. It is of doubt. Do you believe that you have received what you are trusting God for?
Mark 11:24 (ESV)
Jesus speaking: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)
11 God speaking: So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Unbelief is deceptive and subtle. It pretends to be something else like frustration or worry.
We must resist worry and doubt like all other sins when those thoughts arise.
Faith is not wimpy, but bold. It lays hold on what's been given to us by God.
Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)
5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
We can walk with boldness into the presence of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace offers us God's favor, but faith reaches out to take it.
The people who enjoy God's salvation are those who reach out and receive God's grace and take it by faith.
It's all been done. You won't enjoy any of it unless you reach out by faith and take it.
Romans 10:13 (NKJV)
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
