Faith?

Great faith respects God, His Word, and His People.  We have a big problem in our society for a lack of respect. Faith shows honor.   Matthew 8:5-13    (ESV) 5  When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion (An Ancient Roman Commander) came forward to him (Jesus), appealing to him,  6  “ Lord , my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”   The Centurion showed Jesus respect by calling Him Lord.   He didn't tell Jesus what to do, but humbly asked.  The centurion understood that he was in charge as a Roman commander in the physical world, but in the spirit world, Jesus was the commander in the spirit world.  Great faith cannot be separated from great respect.    7  And he said to him,  “I will come and heal him.” If you don't respect Jesus, He will resist you, but if you humble yourself, He will come to your aid (James 4:6).   8  But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof , but  only say

2 Corinthians 10:3-5    (NKJV) 3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  The battle ground is within our minds.  4  For the weapons of our warfare  are  not carnal but mighty in God (the Bible) for pulling down strongholds,  The enemy has to convince you that you are under his control.  This is called a stronghold in the Bible.  A stronghold is a lie.    We are to use God's Word to destroy the enemy's lies.   5  casting down arguments and every high thing that  exalts itself against the knowledge of God (the Bible) , bringing  every  thought  into captivity to the obedience of Christ, Every thought matters.  Every mind needs a bouncer at the door.   Philippians 4:4-8   (NKJV) 4  Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! We are suppose to rejoice when we don't feel like it.   5  Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord

The Bible is a book of the thoughts of God.   What we think is a choice.   We can think upon what God has said.  We, too, have the power of forgetting offenses.  Thoughts of unforgiveness will tempt us, but we are not to take them.  Forgiveness is a choice.  God said...
